Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

The terms covering the Linuxhackingid webinar and certificate service, including how a certificate is issued and revoked.

Registration

Registration is open while a webinar is still Scheduled and its seat capacity has not been reached. One account may hold one seat on a given webinar.

Cancelling releases your seat for somebody else. The record that you were once registered is kept.

Certificate issuance

A certificate is issued on the basis of recorded attendance, and only where that attendance reaches the minimum the webinar sets. Registering alone issues nothing.

Issuance happens when the organiser closes the webinar. No automatic process issues certificates at the end time on the schedule.

Revocation

The issuer may revoke a certificate, for instance where the attendance record behind it turns out to be wrong. A revoked certificate can still be checked: the verification page answers that it has been revoked, because a code already printed on a document has to keep giving an answer.

Availability

This service is provided as is. There is no availability guarantee, and a webinar's schedule may change or be cancelled.

A certificate of attendance, not of registration
